Hello and welcome to my page.
So, what the update Appiatse survivors?
Government has put things in place to help the victims who has escaped the disaster, many camps have put up and relief delivered to the one left behind. Things are slowing getting back to normal with the support of some NGOs and the state
But some corrupt element within the Appiatse people has started inflating their numbers, by inviting other people from nearby villages to join them in the resettled camps, so they can benefit more from government aid.
These allegations made known to the appropriate authorities, and they have issued this statement below
“We will do screening because the population at Appiatse is about 857,” Dr Isaac Dasmani said. “And plus or minus, we should not exceed 900, but now we are registering over 1,000 which means that some people because the incident happened have relatives somewhere and they are calling them in.”
