The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu cautions residents of Apiate to stay away from that community due to the nature of the land.
According to Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, some residents of Apiate are building new houses on the land that was destroyed by the Gas explosion whiles others are rebuilding the old one.
Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu cautions them to stop because the ammonium nitrate that exploded some weeks ago was in the quantity of ten (10) tons and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is yet to discover the shock or vibration that the ten tons of ammonium nitrate has caused the land.
Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu said, even though the cracks of the building can be amended with cement, the underground of the land must be checked thoroughly to prevent any worse situation.
