Wariz, Abdulgafar Mustakeem and Soliu were recently arrested in Abeokuta after they were reportedly caught with a human head belonging to Sofiat Kehinde, a girl alleged to be the girlfriend of one of the four suspects.
Sofiat was murdered on the 28th of January 2022 after she went to one of the Suspect’s house in the evening of the fateful day.
The four suspects confessed that one of them invited the victim to his house, and they all connived together to kill and sever her head for money ritual. The suspects were busted by a vigilant member who caught them roasting the head in a black pot and alerted the police.
Interestingly, in a new report by a Yoruba news outlet, one of the suspects has given information on how they got to know about the ritual procedure.
According to him, they got the information from a Facebook group where they were instructed to use a human head for the ritual. According to the suspect, the procedure directed them to burn the head and make it into powder form, with which they start taking with milk every day to become rich.
He said they were just at the point of burning the head when they were caught.
