Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (Constant Miscarriage)

Today we’ll be looking at another challenge some women face in matters of Infertility

Miscarriages are a bit normal. They occur in 15-20% of pregnancies. Though in half of the cases, the couple still goes on to have a live birth later on, constant miscarriages are still a cause for concern and must be looked into.

TYPES OF MISCARRIAGES

Miscarriages are usually divided into two groups,Recurrent Early Miscarriage: This usually occurs within the first trimester and are mostly due to genetic or chromosomal defects of the embryo or structural problems of the uterus.

Recurrent Late Miscarriage: This usually occurs after the first trimester and are mostly due to uterine abnormalities, auto immune problems, an incompetent cervix or premature labor.

TESTS THAT SHOULD BE RUN IN ORDER TO FIND THE CAUSE

Anatomical Testing (HSG/X-RAY)

Testing for auto immune disorders

Testing for insulin resistance and diabetes

Chromosome testing for parents

ENCOURAGEMENT

Having one miscarriage is a cause for concern but two or more is a major cause for concern. It is true women who have had miscarriages can still go on to have a healthy live birth, it is always better to avoid the emotional stress of losing your child, find the root cause and look into it immediately. Once again I’ll recommend you see your doctor to run the above tests or better still, get a herbal treatment and save yourself the stress and trauma.
