According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the tax on electronic transactions (E- levy) that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has imposed is not a service tax but rather, a tax created to take money from people’s pockets.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia said since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government claims their problem is the gap between revenue expectation and expenditure that is why they are imposing a tax on electronic transactions, then the only way that can help them to reject the tax on electronic transactions is to cut the expenditure proposals.
