Kwame A Plus, a political activist and musician, has sought the dismissal of two of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-cabinet Addo’s nominees.
According to him, the President’s decision to keep Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu and Agriculture Minister Owusu Afriyie Akoto surprised him. With the bungled acquisition of Russian-made Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines in a deal that was deemed as improper by a Parliamentary Committee, Agyeman-Manu had a bad year in 2021.
Afriyie Akoto, on the other side, has been blamed for the government’s main program, Planting for Foods and Jobs, encountering difficulties.
“The Health Minister should have been fired a long time ago, which is why I’m giving Nana Addo a 20 percent score; I wanted to lower it to 15 percent because I’m not sure why the Nana Addo I know will not fire the Health Minister.”
“If you bring the Agric Minister, Nana Addo’s mark would be left with 10%,” he said when asked about the Afriyie Akoto. The Agriculture Minister has to be fired.”
After the Ministry of Education backtracked on a decision to utilize the semester system for Kindergarten to Junior High Schools, A Plus called for the firing of Education Minister, Yaw Osei Adutwum, weeks ago.
