Nivea Chezwa Nabuzoka, a 20-year-old woman is set to be laid in the state this afternoon in her family house at Katuba in the republic of Zambia. Nivea, scheduled for burial today, is said to have committed suicide on Thursday 27 January 2022.
According to TSB News; a news portal in Mandevu constituency, Zambia, which reported the news, the 20-year-old did not state or show any signs of suffering before taking her own life on Thursday night. In a post shared by TSB News, Flora Chipampe, an aunty to the deceased, could not understand why her niece committed suicide.
Though it hasn’t been established, but reports gathered, showed that the 20-year-old Nivea may have taken her life because of emotional stress. Dr Acheampong Godfred of Agogo Presbyterian Hospital narrated to me that, such deaths are real due to the kind of stress the person may be going through.Â
She is too young to have died and I can not reason with why she took her own life, but from my medical and counselling point of view, she may have been attacked emotionally. When you are attacked emotionally and there is nobody there to help you get out, you see suicide as the only option for you.Â
You think about suicide and that becomes easy for you to end your suffering. ‘Let me take my life and go in peace, one may say this to him or herself to console him/herself before doing it. Emotional stress is very rare and can kill you easily if you don’t get help.Â
Visit the hospital and see a doctor when you feel down or you feel sad. Don’t just take your life because taking your life may not be the solution. You may hurt others, especially your loved ones when you commit suicide. Anybody thinking of suicide, should kindly visit the hospital and speak out to a doctor. We are there for you and can help you deal with it. It helps end your sufferings when you visit a hospital, Dr Acheampong Godfred shared.Â
Nivea will be buried in a private cemetery at her home in Mandevu constituency, the news stated.
