Many influential people have expressed worry at the sad note which the government’s fight against corruption has ended. They complain about how the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, has become silent on corruption all of a sudden in contrast with his boisterous speech on corruption when he and his party was in opposition.
The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has broken the executive arm of the government’s silence on corruption while speaking at a service in the Anglican Church. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia interestingly quoted memory verses in the bible to explain the need why the members of the church must join the government in its anti-corruption fight.
