Lawyer Samson Anyenini has risen to the defense of judges in the country whiles reacting to corruption in this country. He explained that Ghana as a country cannot continue with corruption. He admitted that undercover investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has exposed corruption cases in the court.
“Yes, Anas revealed how widespread corruption is even in the court. But, it is not the case that all judges and politicians are corrupt. There are very fine ones and they are there. We vilify some of them unnecessarily. The most important thing to do is to fish out those that have been caught stealing and punish them accordingly.”, he explained.
This submission from Samson Lardy Anyenini cannot be taken in good faith so far as a judgment on cases will not be a win-win situation for the plaintiff and defendant. So far as a suit is won, the defeated group will accuse the presiding judge of taking something to rule in favour of their opponents.
