The Majority Chief Whip has finally done the unexpected after he boldly defends Ghanaians over numerous concerns raised by Ghanaians and the minority in parliament over the most anticipated 2022 nugget containing the E-levy.

Considering the minority in parliament have undoubtedly put all hands on deck in other to convince the speaker, Alban Bagbin and other MPs to reject the most anticipated E-levy, the majority on the other hand seek to make Ghanaians who are currently expressing massive concerns over the 1.75% tax on Momo transactions, the significance of implementing the bill.

The Majority Chief Whip, Honorable Frank Annoh-Dompeh recently took the privilege to defend Ghanaians over the 1.75% momo tax aide unexpectedly making another case for the incumbent government on convincing individuals on the need to passing the most anticipated E-levy in parliament.

Honorable Frank Annoh-Dompeh highlighted that, aside developing the country in terms of infrastructure amongst others, the revenue generated from the E-levy would help tackle youth unemployment aside implementing a digital economy and so therefore Ghanaians should accept the bill.

“The E-levy seems to provide funding to tackle youth employment and build social and digital infrastructure. It is a proportional at which also accounts for low income earners. Let’s support government to implement this tax to fund the very things we need as a people”, Frank Annoh-Dompeh emphatically stated.

In addition to this, the Majority Chief Whip, Honorable Frank Annoh-Dompeh highlighted that, even though most Ghanaians are complaining about the 1.75% tax on momo transactions, citizens would eventually commend the incumbent government for introducing such a bill to solve the country’s economical issues.

”The massive nation-wide programs Free SHS, PFFJs, 1D1F and year of roads, point to this government’s ability to account for revenue it generates and receives. We can be confident that this levy will be judiciously used”, Frank Annoh emphatically added.
