Eyewitnesses accounts revealed that the deceased identified as Laban Nyambane slipped and fell inside the open grave prepared for Callen Moige burial.
Callen Moige was to be laid to rest the following day and the teacher fell inside while supervising the how it was being dug in Sieka-Magongo area,Marani sub-location, Kitutu chache south, Kisii County.
The late Nyambane was later taken to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment, however, he succumbed while being admitted to the hospital facility.
Neighbours and family members mourned him a devoted servant of God and deputy school principal whose legacy will remain for long.
The latest development comes barely two months when an inmate was found dead inside Nyatieko police station cell in Kisii.
