Ghanaians have massively reacted to the recent comments made by the Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Dr. Steven Amoah. Almost all the reactions that came in strongly disagree with the Member of Parliament and most of them are also very funny.

Dr. Steven Amoah has been sharing his views on the controversial E-Levy recently and he’s been making the headlines with his comments.

He mentioned today on TV3’s Key Points that the Minority side of Parliament are trying all they can to resist the E-Levy because they know when the levy passes, the government will do a lot of developmental projects that will keep the NDC in opposition for long.

“Our fiscal space is congested. They (minority) know that if we generate lots of money with this e-levy, we will do lots of projects with it that is why they are opposing this initiative.”

“We have gone through impaired productivity. If shops and other businesses are closed down, your GDP will not grow,” Dr. Amish told TV3 today.

Dr. Amoah who happens to be a member of the Finance Committee in Parliament had earlier stated that they will go on and approve the E-Levy and there is nothing the NDC can do to stop them.

“We will go on to approve the E-Levy and there is nothing the NDC can do to stop us. If they are saying the implementation of the Levy will make us unpopular and that will make us lose the 2024 elections, why don’t they leave us to implement so that we lose power for them?” Dr. Amoah told TV3 a few days ago.

Meanwhile, Ghanaians while reacting to these statements from the lawmaker, strongly disagreed with Dr. Amoah saying they don’t need the E-levy and so the ruling government should just drop the bill.

Below are some of the views of Ghanaians towards the comments from the Nhyiaeso Lawmaker. Some of the views and reactions are very funny. Check them out

Do you also agree that Ghanaians don’t need the E-levy and so the government should drop it??
