Discussions got off to a feisty start as Stephen Amoah, MP for Nhyiaeso and George Rickets Hagan, former deputy Finance Minister and MP for Cape Coast South joined Dzifa Gheho Bampoe. The trio delved into issues relating to the E-levy. According to Stephen Amoah he feels appalled that people are going round with bits of a video that have him saying that the NPP will pass the levy and no one can stop them. He called those doing that propagandists.
As the discussion delved into why the country is broke, Rickets Hagan noted that the government should find other ways of generating revenue. He explained that despite the monies spent the NPP haven’t even built a single school and the government is only wasting funds. The question was posed to Stephen Amoah.
According to Sticka, the NPP have added a number of classrooms to the already built ones. He listed a number of classrooms that have been added and noted that this has got many kids in school. Interestingly, Sticka added that adding more classrooms is better than building E-blocks in faraway places or the bush. He explained that most of the E-Blocks built by John Mahama have less students because of the location of the schools. He charged the NDC to stop their propaganda and accept the E-levy.
