Ofori-Atta needs to make use of E-Levy as collateral to stay borrowing – Adongo

The primary opposition Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga Constituency within the Higher East Area has mentioned he predicted Ken Ofori-Atta will be the worst finance minister the rustic has had.

In keeping with Mr Isaac Adongo, Ghanaians didn’t imagine him when he predicted it was once dangerous appointing Mr Ofori-Atta to guide Ghana’s monetary sector.

He famous that underneath Mr Ofori-Atta, 9 banks collapsed, in conjunction with a number of microfinance corporations and financial savings and loans corporations.

“After I mentioned this in 2017 all the way through the Minister’s vetting, many Ghanaians intentionally refused to pay heed to my prophecies”, Mr Adongo recalled.

“I forewarned Ghanaians that the Finance Minister is among the bad personalities to the financial system of Ghana”, Mr Adongo mentioned.

Touching at the e-levy, he puzzled why the Finance Minister is bent on gathering a paltry GHS6.9 billion when Ghana’s expenditure is much above that.

He famous that if GHS140 billion didn’t save Ghana from the abyss, what would GHS6.9 billion from the e-levy do.

Talking on Ghana Yensom on Accra100.5FM hosted by means of Kwame Obeng Sarkodie, Mr Adongo alleged that Mr Ofori-Atta is raring to peer the e-levy handed so the cash amassed could be used as collateral for additional loans.
