According to the President, the E-Levy is for development and that the country needs it. At the moment, the estimated revenue that is expected to be generated from E-Levy is GH¢7 billion. Many Ghanaians question the government on how this estimated amount will be able to solve the whole country’s problem.

For some Ghanaians, the government should find other ways of generating revenue for developmental projects rather than taxing the already struggling citizens.
