Pregnant women in Ghana can now get the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS). It is now safe for them to receive immunizations, according to the GHS.
Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, told the media in Accra that the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines have been cleared for use in pregnant women.
He stated that unvaccinated pregnant women can now be immunized. Vaccination was previously impossible for them, but it is now possible, and they recommend that we utilize Pfizer or Moderna to vaccinate them.
Given local and worldwide facts, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye stated that the vaccines are now efficacious and safe to provide to pregnant women.
He also opined that they had put in a lot of effort. We, the Ghana Health Service, and the other organizations with which we collaborate, are all concerned about pregnant women, which is why we didn’t include them in the first year of implementation. But now that we have enough worldwide and local proof, we can include pregnant women since it is successful and safe.
As of January 19, 2022, Ghana had administered a total of 9,499,019 doses of COVID-19 vaccination.
When babies consume pills or drugs (medicine), toxins can build up in their body. This toxicity can cause vomiting, liver damage and death since the immunity of babies are weak. Babies’ immune systems are not as strong as those of adults.
So my opinion is that, the GHS’s Covid-19 vaccine for pregnant women might be dangerous to the unborn children and likewise to the babies of lactating mothers.
