Kelvin Taylor Lambast Nana Addo For Appointing Henrietta Lamptey As Head Of Birth And Death Registry

Host of the With All Due Respect Show, Kelvin Taylor, has reacted to the recent appointment of Madam Henrietta Lamptey as head of the Birth and Death Registry. He stated that he had no problem with the personality of Madam Henrietta. He explained that his problem however was that, he did not understand why the President found it wise to appoint Henrietta to head an office that supervises things that are “illegal”.

He used the term illegal because of the ruling from the Supreme Court that the Birth and Death certificate was not needed for the creation of a voter’s identification card. He believed that there was no point in appointing someone to oversee the registration of birth certificates since per the supreme court is an illegitimate document for identification. He concluded that Nana Addo’s decision to appoint Madam Henrietta as head of the Birth and Death registry is an insult to Ghanaians since there is the diversion of resources into an unproductive venture.
