A woman called Favour Jidzor who is a singer shared how her hand got swollen when it was time for her to travel abroad. She said her parents got divorced becau of what happened to her hands. According to Favour, her father was having four children before marrying her mother. Her mother travelled back to her hometown for a funeral, she went to stay with her elder sister where she started going to school. Her elder sister always tells her that she is lucky in life.
She took part in all the sporting activities in school, she got a scholarship in athletics, they were travelling abroad. Her sister travelled for about two weeks, one night whilst she was sleeping she felt a burning sensation on her hands, when Favor woke up she found a millipede crawling around her hand, she hit it and it fell but she didn’t see the millipede again, she saw rashes on the hand, three days later the hand began swollen, Favour called her sister to inform her what had happened to her, the sister started laughing.
When the elder sister came back, she took Favour to the hospital for them to cut off her hand. Favour did not agree with her sister’s decision, she ran away from the hospital and took a car going to Nsawam. When she got to her father’s house, her elder sister was already in the house and she informed their father that someone cursed Favour for going after her husband. The woman explained to her father but all of them didn’t believe her. The father used the blade to cut her hand for the water to come out of the swollen hands.
She was later sent to Nsawam hospital for treatment, when they were coming back from the hospital, a man wearing white told them that the hand is not a physical thing. The father had a dream and the same man told him it was her daughter who did that to Favour. They went to a lot of fetish priests but the hand kept rotten. They also went to a church where the pastor too told them that it was her elder sister who has done that to her. The hand is healed but she still feels pains in it. Sometimes when she goes to a program to sing, people will be looking at her hand so all the time she has to wear long sleeves.
