Asantehene Is Angry With His Chiefs. They Have Left Him Alone In His Battle With The Dormahene.

The overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, has momentarily directed his anger at his Chiefs, claiming they are afraid to stand up and defend the Kingdom.

He is currently in a massive proxy war with the Dormahene, Nana Agyemang Badu, and from Otumfour’s statement, he feels his sub-Chiefs have left him in the battlefield alone.

He sent a direct message to all his chiefs, urging them to vacate their seats if they cannot stand up to fight for and defend the kingdom.

Furthermore, he said that if none of his chiefs can stand in the gap for the Asante kingdom, then they undermine the sacrifices that were made by their forbearers.

“If you cannot fight for Asanteman, please vacate the seat for those who can. If you cannot sacrifice like our forefathers, then you don’t deserve the seat” He commands.

The verbal war between these two powerful overloads has been going in for a while, and it seems the worst is yet to come.

The Dormahene, some weeks ago, decided to respond to the Otumfour for what he says are historic distortion, and incessant attack on the people of Bono.

After his supposed “setting the record straight”, it has been back and forth exchanges between them.

Per the Otumfour’s warning to his subjects, it will not be surprising if going forward, we start seeing and hearing reprisals from Asanteman chiefs.

Many have called for the peace council to step in as soon as possible to quench this potential inferno, before it escalates. We hope they heed to this wise counsel. We are one people with a common destiny.
