News coming in has it that security personnel attached to Alban Bagbin have been recalled. This is interesting because not just one but all 4 have been recalled back to the headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces. In a letter signed by Major General Nicholas Andoh and dated January 11, 2022, the letter explained that the security personnel were not attached using due process.
This is interesting because the security contingent has been with the Speaker all this while and the Ghana Armed Forces command never saw anything wrong till this time. It is unknown how these 4 men got attached to the Speaker. Is it the case that the speaker chose them himself or something fishy is going on.
The 4 men include, Jafaru Bunwura, Apugiba Awine David, Agbley Prosper and Bonney Prince. The 4 are to be withdrawn immediately as of yesterday 14th January. The letter noted that efforts are being made to regularize their attachment.
