Greetings everyone! Have you been down lately with low self-esteem? Do not worry, as this article serves as the key solution. Before anything else, know that the only person who can let confidence into their life is you, even if others are to tell you to be. You are the only one who has to get up and push yourself to the best version of yourself there ever is. There is more to you than you would ever know.
I have pinpointed some few steps on how you can work on your confidence. These would definitely get you started:
1. Watch what you say:
Ever heard of the saying “the tongue is more powerful”? If not, know that this is a true fact. The tongue holds power than you can ever know. The more you tell yourself that you are not worthy and fear rejection, that’s what’s going to follow you. Your mind would process it and gradually it becomes a part of you. Thinking positive can change so many things in your life. You do have confidence; let no one tell you otherwise. Never let this phrase “I cannot” be your mantra because as long as you have life and good health, you got this.
2. Be sure of yourself:
People tend to label you as arrogant when you believe so much in yourself but the question here is, if you won’t who else will? There is a difference between confident and arrogant people. With confidence comes with knowing who you are and accepting it. You are unique person, capable of mighty things and more. Don’t look at who is doing better than you, rather how far long you have come in life. Confidence comes from within. When you are down from the inside, it changes how you see everything on the outside. Declare positive things to yourself everyone morning as you stare at the mirror. Practice self-love a lot and you would see life in a different light. And remember under no circumstance should you compare yourself with anyone.
3. Focus more on your body language:
The body speaks a lot when it comes to confidence. Most people are shy to walk alone in public, especially at an event. This should not be the case. When you get to an event, don’t limit yourself to one spot. Move around, experience new things and enjoy your own , with your head up high. Imagine yourself having a presentation, but you are somewhat nervous but your confidence beats it and makes you sensational. The fact that you have carried and presented yourself amazingly is what’s going to take you far. Remember this no slouching. Have control over your body.
4. Don’t beat yourself up:
In life, when you experience a setback, don’t frustrate yourself. Challenge the small voices that tell you that you should give up. Take a break if you have to and come back stronger than before. Find out where you lack your confidence and work towards it.
I believe that confidence is something each and every one of us has; it just has to be nurtured like a blooming flower. All you have to do is to have a positive mindset and perspective on how you see things.
