The special prosecutor and the minority leader for the national democratic congress were involved in a very important and different conversation.
Haruna Iddrisu’s concerns were laid bare before the special prosecutor after he, the special prosecutor was made to stand in the box to be questioned on certain delicate matters.
In countries like the United States of America, a person can be interviewed or investigated briefly on his wealth and how he or she came to amass that amount of wealth for himself.
The reason is because there is the need for a fair and transparent operations from citizens just as the dealings of the government and its officials are demanded to be transparent.
The only way citizens and the government can work hand in hand is when they are both able to open up on things that are happening.
You might be thinking about how this should be a problem since anyone’s wealth should be his or her problem.
But that is not the case, people are required to provide proof of their main sources of income so that their businesses that earns them these monies are taxed etc.
From the minority leader, his major concern has to do with how these so-called rappers and musicians or people in the country do things and walk freely.
His problem is that most of the youth are into fraudulent businesses which are earning them a lot.
However, they are not questioned and their activities are not scrutinized because it seems no one bothers and are allowed to operate anyhow they want.
The special prosecutor, William Kissi Agyabemg answered and said, what can you do about it when there is no law in the constitution permitting you to randomly question people on what they do for a living?
His point was that there has not been any legal backings that will permit him and the other agencies from making these requests or move to these suspected people.
Someone can not be bothered out of the blue with where he got the money for his mansion, cars or other assets when the law has not allowed it.
