A man who is believed to be in his 30’s has been found in a forest at Akokoaso in the Eastern region. Narrating the incident to reporters was the unit committee chairman of Akokoaso, Nana Asiedu who is popularly known as Agudey. He mentioned that the queen-mother of the town drew their attention she had heard that a man was lying in the forest.
The unit committee members and assembly members went in search of the person lying in the forest and found a man lying on a footpath right before you enter the forest. The man was very weak and had sand all over his body. They carried him into the town and gave him water and food to eat before he was able to utter some words.
Nana Asiedu said the man drank about 10 sachets of water. Policemen from Akyem Ofoase came to the town when called upon to help with the situation. After he ate, he was taken to St John’s Hospital in Ofoase for treatment. The man spoke the Ewe language and the little information he gave was that he was working in Tarkwa and all of his belongings have been taken from him.
He could not utter a word afterwards. The man was wounded and his legs broken, he could not even sit without support. There were bullets around him at the location where he was lying. Nana Asiedu added that looking at his condition, it can be assumed that he had been there for more than three days.
The policemen and unit committee members in the town are waiting for him to get better so that they can get information about his personality, background and location.
