Supreme Court Judge Justice Clemence Honyenuga who presided over Doctor Stephen Opuni’s Case had no option than to adjourn the case to 17th January 2022.
Doctor Stephen Opuni is standing trial for alleged billions financial loss to the state. He reportedly orchestrated this loss under John Dramani Mahama and NDC era. NDC Stalwart called Seidu Agongo is also standing trial in the same case.
Doctor Stephen Opuni and Seidu Agongo have both pleaded not guilty to the charges. Earlier on Doctor Stephen Opuni had challenged the Presiding Judge Clemence Honyenuga. He wanted him removed from the bench over alleged bias against him.
Although his prayer was granted, the attorney General ruled against it and brought Clemence Honyenuga back to preside over the case.
