Update: Change in certificate of some Nurses’ group in Ghana

RCPN is Registered Community Psychiatric Nurse program which is being taught at Psychiatric Nurses’ Training College (Ankaful) and current information reaching us denotes a change in program name from RCPN to RCMN (Registered Community Mental Nurse).

From sources, the program was officially started in 2017 when the institution gained accreditation to enroll qualified applicants, and its first batch of professional Nurses successfully completed in 2020 with a Diploma. It focusses on deinstitutionalization of persons with mental health issues and promoting mental health awareness, preventing the occurrence of mental illness within our various communities and the world at large, among others. 

Its an interesting and very imperative program to read professionally. Individuals who are interested in Nursing can consider enrolling in this program.
