Some Staff with other institutions claim that they are only entitled to one month leave whilst others are entitled to sick leave only.
Meanwhile staff of Ghana Education Service especially teachers have refuted those claims suggesting that teachers do not go on holidays, they added students rather go on vacation and not teachers, teachers according themselves, attend to other issues at several levels the District and Regional Education offices.
Some teachers are workers who can be transferred to any district or regional education office to work as a non teaching staff.
Most staff at the various district, regional and national education offices are teachers, one should have education background or must have offered an education program to be able to work in any of those offices.
Students of the various Junior High schools will resume school on the 18th of January 2021. They are expected to continue with the same academic calendar they used last year, 2021. The Various Junior High schools spend 2 Semesters in the academic year. At least 110 days in school.
