The African Cup of Nations (AfCON) is ongoing far away in Cameroon. The problem many have is how to watch the live matches. This is because only the state owned GTV is the only local TV station with the right the show live matches.
Meanwhile GTV Sports which will be showing the matches is not a free to air channel. It is only available on GTV digibox and DStv. The station was available on startimes and Gotv but due to the tonament, the station has been blacklisted on those digiboxes until further notice. This means Ghanaians without DStv or GTV digibox will have to watch the matches from international channels at a cost.
Thankfully, 11 free to air local channels have secured permits from GTV to enable them transmit the live matches from GTV Sports plus. Most of these channels are available on multitv as well. This is coming as a relief to many football lovers.
The channels are listed below in no particular order.
WOEZOR TV, ANGEL TV, GLOBE TV, OBONU TV, GARDEN CITY TV, CRTV, ORTB, 2STV, L’OBS TFM, LMTV and CANAL 2 INTERNATIONAL.
