Former Deputy Minister for Transport and Special aide to the former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has reacted to the recent labor unrest in the country which has taken the form of strikes in the country. She explained that the government has not made up its mind to listen to the concerns and grievances of the various labor unions.
She revealed on the Alhaji and Alhaji Show, that she listened to the full speech of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo during the recent 90th anniversary conference of the Ghana National Association of Teachers held at Kumasi. According to her, she observed some unusual gestures from the teachers present at the conference.
“I listened to him recently when he addressed the conference where he mentioned the interventions in terms of allowances and housing projects. There was a sudden murmur in the background”, she said.
According to her, this murmur could imply that the teachers were tired of Nana Addo’s promise. She wondered if the individual who has been writing the speeches for Nana Addo really know what he is writing.
