The police administration led by the Inspector General of Police George Akuffo Dampare, released a statement on the 6th of January in relation to the communication of prophecies on the 31st of December 2021. Whiles there were mixed reactions on the caution issued by Ghana Police to all Prophets in the country, most Prophets were all set for whatever may come as they were ready to speak the mind of God regardless the consequences.
31st December 2021 has ended but what transpired in various churches with regards to prophecies are now being assessed by the Ghana Police Service as there were several prophetic messages. According to the Police, the prophetic messages are being analysed to check if any of them are in breach of the laws of the country. This has raised several reactions from Ghanaians in relation to the statement released by the police administration.
According to Justice Avevor, Ghana Police cannot police how prophecies are communicated and thinks it is a subtle agenda to cage the church but they will fail in their mission. He stated that the police administration has an agenda against the church and that they were only capitalising on the issue of false prophets to suppress the church but God will not allow that agenda to see the light of day.
Bediako commended the police for the directive in his comment. He thinks the police did a good job as we had some peace in the country.
Mavis also advised the police administration stayed out of these matters of the Prophets in the country as some prophetic messages are from God else the IGP could attract the wrath of God upon himself and his generation.
