The Bible contains many lots of facts and lessons; educative ones to be precise. Many people do not grasp what the Bible actually comprises since it occasionally speaks in parables, which makes it a little difficult to understand.

However, according to the Bible, there are 15 things that women should never do in a relationship:

1. Give up believing that your way is the “right” way to do things.

It doesn’t mean that he’s doing something incorrectly. “I have to be in control,” a woman says when she insists on having her way.

2. Do not put others before your husband

Companionship in marriage was created by God so that a husband and wife might meet each other’s need for a close, intimate, human relationship. “It is not good for the man to be alone,” he even remarked in Genesis 2:18.

So, what happens if you prioritize your mother, a friend, or even your child over your spouse? In your marriage, you actually take a step toward solitude (often unintentionally).

If you opt to spend an afternoon shopping with your mother instead of watching a football game with your husband, you may leave him feeling that he takes second place in your heart.

3. Don’t expect your husband to treat you like a lady.

Most men and women not only have different physical appearances, but also have diverse ways of thinking about life. The need for conversation is an example of this.

I don’t know about you, but I’m guilty of wearing out my husband with a never-ending stream of conversational details that he doesn’t care about. If he had a girlfriend, all of those details would be extremely important!

4. Do not betray your husband.

Stop nagging and don’t correct him in front of others, among other suggestions. If you finish your husband’s sentences, you can unwittingly communicate, “I’m not really interested in what you have to say.”

5. Don’t expect your husband to let you down like your father did with your mother.

“I waited for my husband to give up and walk out on me for years, just like my father did years before,” one acquaintance remarked. Her irrational anxieties had taken away a lot of the fun from her marriage.

6. Don’t make your husband feel he needs to defend himself.

For example, if you’re driving around town looking for a restaurant and he’s clearly lost, is it really helpful to inform him he’s gone around the same block five times? In such times, one smart woman advised, “I’ve learnt to be quiet.”

“Are my words needed?” she asks herself now before making a statement. “Would they motivate you?” “When words are plentiful, sin is not uncommon,” Proverbs 10:19 says, “but whoever controls his lips is prudent.”

7. Never use sex to persuade your husband to do something.

“When I get what I want, you get sex,” some women say to their husbands, whether consciously or unconsciously. Husbands and wives, on the other hand, are reminded in 1 Corinthians 7:4-5 that their bodies are not their own. “Do not take advantage of one another…”

8. Stop constantly reminding your husband of things.

Don’t make him feel guilty or harp on him over minor details.

According to one friend, we are acting more like his mother than his wife when we continuously remind our men about nutrition, weight, medication, picking up the dry cleaning, and so on.

9. You don’t have to earn your respect from your husband.

I’ll respect him when he deserves it, many women think. “Let the wife see that she respects her husband,” Ephesians 5:33 states, and there’s a reason for it.

“It would make the world of difference if women could learn to grasp that respect is a man’s natural dialect, that it completely heals his heart and ministers to him like nothing else,” one buddy stated.

10. Don’t hand over your long-term to-do list to your husband.

A coworker advises you to avoid inundating your husband with too much information. You may accidentally make him feel like a failure by assuming that your extensive list indicates that you are dissatisfied. Alternatively, he may wrongly infer that you expect him to act quickly.

11. Don’t act as if your partner can read your mind.

Instead, be as detailed as possible with your requirements. One busy parent admitted that she used to feel overwhelmed by domestic tasks and wished that her husband would assist her. She now recognizes that the only way he is aware of her wants is if she expresses them to him.

“Most of the time, when I just say, ‘Honey, will you tuck the kids in tonight while I clean up the kitchen,’ he is happy to help,” she says. She’s learned that all it takes is a few words to “turn a resentment-filled, stressed-out night into a team-effort bonding time.”

12. Stop prioritizing housework over your husband.

One young mother informed her husband that she didn’t want to make love one night since she had just changed the sheets and didn’t want them to get dirty again.

What do you think her spouse got out of that response? “Do not leave the unfolded laundry on your marriage bed,” another woman, who prioritizes her husband before cleaning, said.

13. Stop taking the lead if you don’t think he’ll take it.

“I would see what needed to be done and get frustrated that my husband would not take charge and get it done,” one wife said. She went on to say that learning to trust her husband’s leadership has changed her life.

“I truly believe that our men don’t lead because we women are too quick to jump in and take care of everything,” she says. “For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church, his body…” says Ephesians 5:23.

14. Do not expect Prince Charming from your husband.

After all, the perfect husband only appears in fairy tales, whereas your marriage does. Instead of dwelling on her husband’s flaws, one young woman said she’s learned to appreciate the positive aspects of him. What was the outcome? He’s been pushed to go above and beyond in order to be the man of her fantasies.

15. Never try to fix a problem in your marriage with a self-help book, a plan, or a person.

Rather, turn to God’s Word and believe and act on what He says. One woman stated, “He will take me to any resources I require.” “God has already given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3); all we have to do now is live according to the promises and wait for Him to show up.”

“Love never gives up… isn’t always’me first,’… doesn’t keep score of other people’s transgressions,” the Bible states in 1 Corinthians 13, paraphrased by The Message.

Always has faith in God and strives for the best.” What do your words and deeds convey about your love to your sweetheart? Is there something you need to stop doing in your marriage?
