Many of the schools were boys high schools but in some cases, girls secondary schools were also involved in the fires that saw the millions of shillings worth of property with no casualties but some injuries reported.
This evening, we have received reports of another fire incident at Kipkelion Girls High School that is found in the green county of Kericho.
Two dormitories in the girls school have been razed down by the fire that was believed to have been started by the students of the school.
The girls reported only two days ago back to school for the third term of 2022 studies which began a few days ago.
It’s unclear as to why the students started the fire that destroyed their dormitories this evening but investigations into the fire have commenced with the fire having been contained.
Here is a video of the fire.
