Why GCB Changed its name from GCB Bank Limited to GCB Bank PLC

GCB Ltd has changed its name from GCB Bank Limited to GCB Bank PLC . The change was necessitated by the coming into force of the Companies Act,2019(Act 992) section 21(B) which directs the last words of the corporate name of public companies limited by shares to be ”Public Liability Company” or the abbreviation PLC.

Per the Bank’s Press release, the Corporate name is therefore GCB Bank PLC, and as such the Bank shall be referred to as GCB PLC in all future publications and contracts with third party providers .

As per a resolution passed by the shareholders of the Bank at its Annual General Meeting , the Bank has officially informed the general public and stakeholders that GCB Bank Limited has been changed to GCB Bank Public PLC.

GCB is Africa’s most welcoming banking institution that offers accessible financial support through expert means . The Bank’s CEO is Mr. John Kofi Adomakoh.
