The National Identification Authority (NIA) announced that anyone whose mobile number is not liked with his or her Ghana card will not be active coming March ending 2022. Many people did not take it seriously at first but suddenly, a lot of Ghanaians are flooding the offices of the network providers to do the registration.
Many pictures are circulating on the internet with people flooding the offices of the network providers most especially MTN to have their SIM cards linked with their Ghana Cards. When I interacted with some of the people, the response was that they fear that they will lose their phone number. Take a look at the crowd that flooded the Telcos offices to link their Ghana card with their SIM cards.
