Johnnie Hughes, a broadcast journalist and host of TV3 New Day program has today asked several questions concerning the usage of internet data in the country.
According to Johnnie Hughes, the cost of data in the country is very expensive as compared to other countries in Africa. He asked the member of parliament for Ablekuma West, Honorable Ursula Owusu who also doubles as the Minister of Communication to give Ghanaians the reason why data is so expensive in the country.
Johnnie Hughes again added that, Ghana is now becoming one of the best digitized economies in Africa but the level of data usage by the Telecommunication companies seem unfair.
He added that, everyone seems to be quite about this. He also raised points to the fact that whenever people buy data, it get finish before they even realise.
Johnnie Hughes is urging all stakeholders to this data usage especially the Minister of Communication to come and explain certain points to Ghanaians because the country cannot go digital with such costs of internet data.
