As a victim of domestic abuse, Ghanaian actress, entrepreneur and human right activist, Vicky Zugah has explained why some people especially ladies still remain in abusing relationships.
Speaking in a recent interview on Joy Prime’s now, Vicky stated that most of these ladies are dependent on their abusers financially hence it makes it difficult to leave.
According the Vicky, she has personally encoutered people in suchlike situations and sometimes she has to support them financially to help them leave their abusive partners.
” Sometimes victims of domestic abuse can’t leave the relationship because they don’t have any other choice. Others too stay for their kids and endure the pain and torture. There are some women who are so dependent on their spouses that they end up staying because they can’t fend for themselves. If I had the power, I will rescue all these women and give them a better life”. She added.
