COVID-19: Finance Ministry directs staff to work from home

The Finance Ministery has directed its staff to work from home effective immediately.

It comes in the wake of mass staff testing currently ongoing at the ministry following the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

In a statement available to Starr News, Chief Director of the Ministry said staff will test positive after results come in will be given the direction on the way forward.

The statement also noted some staff will be working from specific locations to complete the Mid-year budget.

Some other state organisers including BOST and COCOBOD have shut down their offices after some staff tested positive for the virus.

Some government officials including Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Marfo have contracted the virus. Deputy Trade Minister Carlos Ahenkorah resigned from his post after admitting he monitored the ongoing registration exercise despite his positive status. Last week, CEO of the Forestry Commission Sir John died of the virus.
