Shaggy Laments As Covid-19 Lockdown Has Kept Him Away From His Family For Two Months

Jamaican reggae dancehall legend, Orville Richard Burrell, professionally known as Shaggy has lamented on his inability to see his beautiful wife and daughters for the past two months.

The Grammy award winning artiste is one of the celebrities observing lockdown orders in foreign countries due to the coronavirus outbreak in the world.

According to media report, the “it wasn’t me” hitmaker is currently stuck in his new york apartment due to the outbreak of the novel coronavurus in America and the state of New York being declared an epicentre due to the c onstant recorded cases in the state.

It’s been two months since Shaggy left his home country, Jamaica to go on music tour. The icon had high hope of leaving New York to see his family but suffered a great setback when news broke out that Jamaica had closed it borders to prevent importation of the virus.

Speaking on how he feels about the situation, he said;

“It’s bad. I speak to my wife every day and I miss her so much.”

He added that he is in talks with the Jamaican ambassador who he believes is working around the clock to repatriate him to his country and wife, Rebecca.
