Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has dumped his home in Madeira and moved into a luxury villa in Canical, all in Turin, Italy.

Canical is a fishing village overlooking the ocean.

Italian sport outlet, Correio da Manha reports that the villa costs €4,000-a-week and has five bedrooms, a gym and a swimming pool.

A source told the newspaper that “Cristiano felt he needed space, he felt suffocated within four walls and where he’s moved he has a large garden. And more privacy, of course.”

The newspaper also quoted same source as saying that the Portugal star is maintaining high training rates and on more than one occasion he would have even worked out at the Madeira Stadium, home of CD Nacional, and trained on the pitch.

The stadium was specially opened for him by the president of the club, Rui Alves.

In the new home, there is also a playroom for his four children, and a large garden where the former Real Madrid star can continue to stay in shape.

The 35-year-old shared a video on his Instagram of his new surroundings, showing him and his girlfriend taking turns to sprint up a steep incline.

The former Manchester United ace captioned the video: “My beautiful training partner! #stayactive #stayhome.”

The Juventus star is maintaining his fit level as football remains indefinitely suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
