Ghanaian actress cum entrepreneur Lydia Forson has availed herself to the government to be used as one of the celebrity ambassadors to fight against the deadly coronavirus as was announced by the Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

The government through the Information Minister mentioned that the government intends to use celebrities as ambassadors for Corovirus so these celebrities can use their platforms as a means to educate the public.

According to the government, it is believed that these individuals with a huge following will be useful in the dissemination of information and education of the public.

Reacting to this, Lydia Forson stated that, they as celebrities don’t need to wait for Government to appoint them before they do the needful because the Coronavirus is bigger than Ghana.

Taking to her social media page she wrote: β€œI don’t think we need to wait on the government to appoint #coronavirus ambassadors to disseminate information. I think every influencer should make their platform available to the ministry of information and health to share important information. All my pages are available”.

Meanwhile Ghana has recorded 16 cases of the Coronavirus out of which 8 are recovering.
