Business mogul, Raymond Archer, has questioned the integrity of politicians for taking certain actions that affect the living of “struggling” Ghanaians and then after put their party in the limelight after executing developmental projects.

His statement comes on the back of an illegal demolition exercise at the Trade Fair International Centre Sunday, February 16, 2020.

The Chief Executive Officer of Universal Labels & Packaging Co. Ltd and Colour Planet Limited, who was on the grounds at the time GhanaWeb got to the scene, indicated that the building together with newly installed equipment destroyed cost about 10 million US dollars.

“We built this factory ten years ago, we’ve installed new equipment, actually there are even new ones that are currently under installation and these cost us $10 million but we got here and the whole factory with everything inside has been demolished by the government,” he made known in an interview with GhanaWeb.

Currently, many Ghanaians have lost their jobs because of the action taken by government under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a bid to build an ultramodern Trade Fair Centre.

The new facility, when done, is likely to house foreigners than Ghanaian business men.

“We’ve employed over 120 workers and we are the only company in Africa that can manufacture these kinds of products. So, to see our government target this kind of business and break it down at midnight is highly unacceptable.” The renowned investigative journalist fumed.
