At long last, the heart desire of filmmakers and movie stakeholders in Ashanti region for the past decades has been actualized courtesy the inauguration of Ghana Culture Forum in the region specifically Kumasi on February 13, 2020.

The inauguration of Ashanti Regional Chapter of the Ghana Culture Forum is simply a non-partisan membership-based civil society consultative and advocacy network of cultural practitioners, activists and organizations.

Present at the inauguration were Agya Koo Nimo, Prof. Kofi Abraham, Baffour Asabre Kogyawoasuo Ababio, Barima Asomadu Sakyi (Director, Culture For National Culture), Nana Yaw Akuoko (Otumfuo Asinhene) and members of various associations from the Northern Sector of the country.

Besides, the association announced an interim executive to help steer affairs in the region. Namely; Mr James Aboagye (President of the Film Producers Association of Ghana – FIPAG), Mrs Augustine Addison (Chairperson of the Musicians Union of Ghana – MUSIGA), and 6 others.

Like earlier said, the forum is a non-partisan civil society for all cultural stakeholders, therefore, all those who desire to see the progress and spread of our prestigious Ghanaian culture(s) can join which cometh with no cost but benefits.
