The Annual Grammy awards have acknowledged Wizkid, Burna Boy, Mr Eazy and others who played a vital key in the just ended Afrobeat concert.
The Afrobeat concert has been described as one of the best international music concert. The Grammy body today acknowledged efforts incorporated by some African artistes in putting out what we call ‘The New African Sound’s.
In statement released, it stated “Currently, Afrobeats is the next international sound sweeping pop music”. This is quite a recognition and a big deal for the African society. Oh, and yes, we are proud of how far we have come
The Annual Grammy Awards ceremony is set to go down in three weeks; 27 January 2020.
The Recording Academy highlights all these landmarks, including Wizkid’s recent feature in Beyonce’s ‘Lion King: The Gift’ album. Efforts contributed by Burna Boy and Mr Eazi are also not marginalised. Not to forget Tiwa Savage’s mega music deal with Universal Group. Truly, all eyes are on Africa!
