Most Christians across the world set aside 25th December of every year as the birth date of Jesus Christ and celebrate it in honor of him. Over the years a lot of people have challenged the essence of the celebration. The newest addition is Veteran Ghanaian musician, Rex Omar who is strongly against the celebration.
According to Rex Omar in a post on his social media page, Christmas is not written anywhere in the Bible and as a result he doesn’t see the need for it to be celebrated.
Rex Omar further questioned whether the modern-day Christians knew the God they were worshipping.

Rex Omar wrote: “1. The word CHRISTMAS is not written in the Bible. The date of birth of JESUS CHRIST is not written in the Bible so you don’t know. 3. There’s not a single commandment by CHRIST himself or any other prophet in the Bible that says you should celebrate the birthday of JESUS. 4. There’s numerous evidence to prove that celebrating Christmas is paganism. Question is, do modern day Christians know the GOD they’re worshiping? 🤔”.
