Takoradi is well noted to host the biggest masquerading carnival in Ghana each year during the Christmas season.
Quite a number of masquerading clubs line up and display some qualities which include the design of their masquerade attire, dance moves and on a lighter side, the number of members in the club.
Each club has its own unique attire it displays each year and truth be told, this ceremony really shakes up the city to the extent that many people from far and near throng to the city to catch a feel of it.
