According to director of communications at Charter House, George Quaye, awards do really count in the success of every artiste.
Speaking in a recent interview, he noted that if an artiste sits somewhere and say awards do not matter to him, then that artiste is very wrong.
“Awards do count. And so any artiste who’d sit somewhere and say ‘Oh awards do not matter to me’, you are very wrong.”, George Quaye said.
He also added that, anyone nominated for an award stands the great chance of winning that award.
“When nominations come out, it means everyone in that category stands a chance of winning.”, he added.
