Donations received for the party include bags of rice, cooking oil, toiletries and soft drinks
Citi FM is this morning joining the people of Samsam Odumase near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region for the 2018 edition of its annual project, ‘Help A Christmas Child’.
The project, which is under the Citi FM foundation, sees the station organise a party to bring some cheer to children in deprived communities.
The annual Boxing Day trip is bolstered with donations from corporate organizations and benevolent patrons of Citi FM and Citi TV.
Donations received include bags of rice, cooking oil, toiletries, soft drinks, confectioneries, toys, books, and several others.
Coordinator for Corporate Social Responsibility at Citi FM, Kafui Kuwornu, expressed the station’s appreciation to all who contributed to this year’s outreach.
“We are going to spend time with the Children of Samsam Odumase, but I want to say a very big thank you to all our listeners, some corporate organizations who have donated to this project.”
Last year, the gesture was extended to Adamrobe near Aburi in the Eastern Region.
The station visited Manchie and Korleman as well as Sota and Abonya in 2016 and 2015 respectively for the same reason.
