Former Aviation Minister, Mr Femi Fani- Kayode has said that the threat of the Fulani socio-cultural association, Kautal-Hore Miyetti Allah, to leave the country, was a welcome development. This was in reaction to a recent statement by the leadership of the group during an interview with a Nigerian newspaper.
President of the group, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, in a recent interview with Sunday Tribune declared that the Nigerian economy, will definitely collapse, if the Fulani herdsmen leave the country.
According to Bodejo, the attitude of governments towards the plights of the Fulani Herdsmen, despite their huge contribution to the Nigerian economy, could push them to leave the country.
“if we direct our members to move out of the country, I can assure you that the economy of this country will collapse.”
In his reaction, the former Aviation Minister said the Fulani herders could leave, if they so pleased – Accusing them of killing a huge number of innocent Nigerians.
