Plumes of black smoke billowed from a raging fire which broke out a factory in the industrial area of New Germany, west of Durban, on Thursday.
Rescue Care spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said firefighters and emergency personnel rushed to the scene on Thursday morning.
The owner of the factory, Essack Khan, told TimesLIVE that contractors were working on the roof when the fire broke out.
He said no one was injured and that all the employees were safe.
