Zing Mastar, real name Tshegofatso Mabala grew up in Atteridgeville and is a self- taught producer. He dropped out of school because no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t find any interest within himself for formal education.
As an artist, Zing Master is relatively unknown but his songs have been the reason why you probably lost your morals at some club or the other. A journey that started around 2006 has finally made him a force to be reckoned with in the dance music genre.
His hits Suna Papa and Tshwara alongside Pencil (fellow artist) have been blowing up in the clubs.
“I think that people love the songs I put out because they hear themselves in them. They can easily relate. The catch phrases are also an important part of why people love the songs, they sing along because these are phrases that exist in their everyday lives. That is what I try to capture in the music, the feelings, the vibe.”
