The Fashion Awards 2018: the winners

Kaia Gerber was crowned ‘Model of the Year’, while Dame Vivienne Westwood took home the ‘Swarovski Award for Positive Change’ in honour of her career-long dedication to environmental and social causes. Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga won ‘Accessories Designer of the Year’, while Miuccia Prada claimed the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ gong.

There was an emphasis on British design, with Craig Green winning the ‘British Designer of the Year Menswear’ award, Richard Quinn taking home the prize of ‘British Emerging Talent Womenswear’ and Samuel Ross for A-COLD-WALL* coming out top in ‘British Emerging Talent Menswear.’ Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino won ‘Designer of the Year’ and photography duo Mert & Marcus took home the ‘Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator.’

Brands that came out top on the night included Gucci, which was named ‘Brand of the Year’ and whose President and CEO Marco Bizzarri was honored as ‘Business Leader’, and Parley for the Oceans, which was awarded the ‘Special Recognition Award for Innovation.’
